As the day turns to afternoon, take a ride on the cable car to Mount Vitranc, where the World Cup men's alpine skiing event is held in winter. From the top of Vitranc, a breathtaking view of the Karavanke opens up.from where, you can see Austria, the Krk Alps, the High Tauern, the Julian Alps, and the Carnic Alps. Observe the stunning landscape as the alpine peaks glow in warm colors. The panoramic view from the top is inspiring and creates the perfect backdrop for romantic moments and heartfelt conversations. In good weather, the cable car operates daily from 09:00 to 17:00, and from September 18th onwards, only on Saturdays and Sundays.

Next stop is Planica, where you can visit the Nordic Center, the ski jumping museum, and the Gorišek brothers' ski flying hill, or even hike to the top of the giant ski jump. The kids will be excited to discover the secrets of ski jumping, while you can reminisce about past sporting achievements.
You can go on a hike to Tamar valley, which leads through picturesque forests, across blooming meadows, and past rushing mountain streams. After about two hours of walking from Planica, you will reach your destination. The surroundings of the valley are perfect for a picnic or lunch in Tamar Hut, where you can rest and recharge.
